Broadcast Advertising Sales Executive

Discover Mediaworks is searching for a Sales Executive - Broadcast. Responsibilities include meeting target revenue goals in the defined region. Position demands an energetic self-starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in driving revenue and increasing client base. You must be results-driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities.

Summary of essential job functions:
- Meet budgeted sales obligations for assigned content (typically broadcast/commercial content, corporate video and show sponsorship)
- Capitalize on opportunities to 'up sell/cross sell' clients
- Create new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Stay current with changing markets and demographics to ensure the Company is positioned to meet client needs
- Develop needs analyses and sales campaigns to determine strategic and tactical plans for market/client penetration
- Identify target companies and decision makers within your prospects
- Proactively prospect, grow and maintain accounts
- Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how you can help drive revenue into their businesses
- Ensure that sales proposals maximize Company profit margins while maintaining a competitive pricing position
- Develop and cultivate lasting relationships with clients
- Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries
- Process applicable paperwork to facilitate timely responsiveness according to Company/client needs
- Establish and maintain client accountability for feedback/input and payment for services rendered

Experience Requirements:
- Previous broadcast, online or traditional media sales experience strongly preferred
- Background in selling a packaged service
- 5+ years in a business development role
- Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships
- Committed to creating new business opportunities
- Ability to earn the trust of leaders in client organizations
- Ability to develop and specify complex strategies and project plans along with the skill needed to maintain oversight throughout their successful execution
- Full sales cycle capabilities
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Self starter with good time management abilities
- Positive Mental Attitude is a must

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or relevant field of study.

Travel Responsibilities:
- 70%-regional travel and most travel will be in Wisconsin
- 90% of travel will be day trips
