Sales Manager - Texas
 Belo seeks a proficient Sales Manager with organizational sales skills to have oversight of the national interactive sales operation. This candidate will manage relationships with existing agencies, networks, and direct clients in order to grow interactive advertising revenues. In addition, the ideal candidate will generate new business that achieves revenue goals and objectives. This position offers a tremendous opportunity to oversee a successful group of account executives and help them develop and grow existing business. This position reports to the General Manager/Interactive.
Essential Functions:
--Responsible for managing all sales processes including reporting, sales campaign development and identifying objectives for agencies in an effort to meet and exceed national revenue goals
--Responsible for handling correspondence with national advertising agencies to develop and foster good partnerships
--Build, execute and present marketing plans
--Extensive knowledge of online marketing and products, pricing models, emerging media trends, customer buying patterns and budgeting
--Is the lead for national sales on operational issues, billing and customer service
--Analyzes performance by agency and sets strategy to grow revenue
--Ability to use internal/external resources to achieve revenue success
--Identify sales opportunities, programs and new clients
--Effectively communicate between corporate and local properties to build strong relationships
--Works closely with finance group to review budgets, CPM performance, billing and collections
Leadership Skills:
--Coaches national sales reps on quality prospecting, closing and servicing,
--Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor
--Analyzes performance by national account reps and sets strategy to grow revenue
--Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence
--Effectively utilizes each team member to their fullest potential
--Effective communicator with a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills and impeccable work ethics
Essential Qualifications:
--Team management experience
--On the forefront of new media best practices and familiar with IAB guidelines
--Is a good negotiator
--Experience and knowledge of the interactive marketplace
--Must understand how to access and accurately interpret online advertising data
--Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
--Ability to write, create and present clear, succinct, informative presentations to clients and upper management
--Ability to multitask in a fast paced internet sales environment
--Ability to Travel
--A high sense of urgency
Skills and Qualifications:
5-7 years interactive sales and/or management preferably to national interactive agencies. Bachelor Degree required.
